What to Expect: “Lyndon B. Johnson, our 36th president, was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country. But his story is not the only one told here. Experience life on a Texas-German farm and marvel at American bison and Texas longhorns.

Take a self-guided tour of the World War I-era Sauer-Beck­mann Farm. Rangers in period clothing raise crops, take care of animals and cook meals. They will answer your questions and talk about their work on the farm.” (tpwd.texas.gov)
